Our Story
A camera for being present
Retrolens was created to help you capture life without stepping out of it.
Our founder, James, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Fortunately, he is now recovering, though he has lost hearing on one side. That experience changed the way he saw time, presence, and the small moments that matter most.
At home with three young children, life was beautiful, chaotic, and moving fast. James wanted to save those memories, but taking photos on his phone often led to messages, apps, and scrolling.
So he set out to create something simpler.
Retrolens brings the nostalgic feel of analogue photography together with the ease of modern digital technology. No film, no complicated settings, and no phone distractions.
Just a reusable, rechargeable camera made for warm, character-filled photos β and for staying present while life happens.
